FAQ
The EU AI Act is the world's first comprehensive AI regulation, which entered into force in August 2024. Bans on prohibited AI practices have applied since February 2, 2025, and general-purpose AI (GPAI) model obligations since August 2, 2025. Under the Digital Omnibus on AI (Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, in force since 27 July 2026), the core high-risk obligations were rescheduled: stand-alone high-risk systems (Annex III) now apply from December 2, 2027, and high-risk systems embedded in regulated products (Annex I) from August 2, 2028. Non-compliance can result in fines of up to €35 million or 7% of global turnover.
SetAIComply uses a guided questionnaire based directly on the EU AI Act's classification criteria: Article 5 for prohibited practices, Article 6 and Annex III for high-risk systems, Article 50 for limited-risk transparency requirements, and minimal risk for all other systems.
Annex IV of the EU AI Act mandates 9 specific sections of technical documentation for high-risk AI systems, including system description, risk management, data governance, accuracy metrics, and post-market monitoring plans. SetAIComply's AI generator creates compliant drafts tailored to your system.
